We’re excited to announce an exciting new chapter for the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce: our Young Professionals program is becoming Emerging Professionals (EP), with a renewed focus on engaging, supporting, and connecting the next generation of professionals in our community.
As a new benefit of full Chamber membership, your emerging team members can participate in Emerging Professionals at no additional cost. We want to make it easier for businesses throughout our region to connect their newer professionals with opportunities to grow, build relationships, and become more engaged in our community.
Mission
To foster and empower emerging professionals from Niantic to Misquamicut through career development, volunteerism, and community connection in the greater Mystic area.
Emerging Professionals is designed for those who are starting a career, transitioning into a new career, or new to the greater Mystic area. Our members come from all backgrounds and industries—including entrepreneurs, nonprofits, corporate organizations, the arts, sciences, tourism, and more.
Events With an Experience in Mind
Our quarterly EP events will be designed to be more than a traditional networking meeting.
We’re envisioning each event in three acts:

Connect with other emerging professionals in a relaxed environment. - Educational Experience
Gain something valuable—whether it’s a new skill, perspective, or connection. - Social Experience
Have fun, build relationships, and enjoy the community.
In other words, we’re moving beyond the “same old networking event.”
